Sparks earn berth to ASA National Tourney

   June 19- The Sparks have earned a berth in the ASA National Tournament on July 30-August 5 in Auburn, Alab.

   May 13- The Sparks posted a 5-1 record, including four consecutive victories in elimination play to capture second place in the Park Forest Tournament. After a 1-1 finish in pool play, the Sparks dropped their initial elimination contest.
    However, victories followed over the Oak Lawn Ice (5-1), Elk Grove Heat (11-0), Wauconda Bulldogs (4-3 in International Rule) and Chi-Town Express (5-1). Orland Park was finally thwarted in the championship contest by the Crete-Crush, 4-2.
    Sunday's action saw the Sparks avenge two of its tournament losses, including the Chi-Town Express (pool play) and Wauconda Bulldogs (first game of elimination).
